We hosted students again
We had the honour to welcome a visit of students from the Bratislava University of Technology and Informatics to Mochovce. The excursion took place on two dates, namely 22 and 26 April 2024. This programme is designed for students who are at the end of their studies and offers them a unique opportunity to experience the atmosphere of the power plants first-hand and to try, for example, the operator’s chair .
During the excursion, the students learned about:
- Mochovce 1&2 and Mochovce 3&4 simulators, where they had the opportunity to observe the behaviour of a nuclear unit during abnormal frequency changes in the transmission system,
- the regulation of a self-consumption unit,
- automatic sequential start-up, shutdown of the turbine equipment and many other interesting aspects.
In addition, the students had the opportunity to see and examine various equipment and systems in the plant, including diesel generators, substations, transformers, turbines and many more.
After spending 7.5 hours in our power plant, the students left with new knowledge and a basic understanding of the electrical part of a nuclear power plant.
